⚖️ 1. Local Self-Government Ombudsman

OMBUDSMAN FOR LSGIs

A high-level judicial mechanism for lodging complaints regarding corruption, irregularities, abuse of power, or dereliction of duty by public representatives or officials. It is headed by a person holding the rank of a High Court judge.

🏛️ 2. Local Self-Government Tribunal

LSGI TRIBUNAL

A judicial mechanism for filing appeals against decisions, orders, refusals of licenses, and revocations of building construction permits issued by the Panchayat governing body or the Secretary. Its headquarters is in Thiruvananthapuram.

Complaints regarding issues such as demands for bribes, major financial irregularities, and the misuse of government funds can be submitted directly to the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.
